The 6th Annual Alumni Homecoming Game - September 18th
Mark the date down on your calendar for this year’s homecoming weekend featuring a marquee match up with our Fighting Irish Varsity Football team taking on our cross town rival, the St. Thomas More Knights. You know whenever these two rival Christian Brother schools get together it’s always a tough, entertaining contest. These two teams played their first game against each other in 1963 and have played almost every year since with the Irish holding a 33-11 edge.
Fun for the whole family
Barbeque, beer garden, and entertainment for all ages to enjoy! Each year more than 2,000 have attended the homecoming festivities, making this one of the events you don’t want to miss! Beer Garden starts at 12 noon and kickoff is at 1:30. Admission to the game is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Pre-Game Reception -
All
Irish Alumni and family are invited to
a pre-game reception in the Alumni Room at 11:30 AM for all Vancouver
College graduates and their families. The cost of the reception is $20
per adult ($10 for kids over 12) which includes game admission, pizza,
two beer tickets, a 2010 Fighting Irish football program, and a pre
game overview of the two teams by Irish Head Coach, Todd Bernett. To
