Simon Fraser University's Aaron Hargreaves is going to be a Blue Bomber.

The fourth-year Clan wide receiver was picked in the second round by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League's annual college draft Wednesday.

The 6-4, 227-pound communications major was selected 15th overall by the East division Bombers, becoming the 184th SFU player to be taken in the draft by a pro Canadian team.

"I've played a couple of times in Winnipeg and I am looking forward to going back there," said Hargreaves in a Wednesday SFU release. "The toughest part of the whole process was just waiting. Today there is supposed to be 10 minutes between each pick, but with all the trades that went down, it just seemed like an eternity."

Hargreaves will join three SFU alumni in Winnipeg. Defensive tackle Doug Brown, offensive lineman Ibrahim Khan and linebacker Neil McKinlay are all currently on the Blue Bombers roster.

Hargreaves has led the Clan in receiving for the past three seasons and was named a Canada West conference all-star in each of the last two years.

He finished his gridiron career at SFU with 1,478 receiving yards, second all-time among Clan student-athletes since the team began playing in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport association in 2002.
