The Alumni Basketball Tournament is this Saturday 27 June.  The teams have been made up and the schedule posted.  However, players and teams are still welcome.  If you would like to play, please contact the organizers immediatly to get your name on a team.

The following is from Tournament organizer JP Planta.

Players not on the list please come early (9:30) to register and join a team!

As always, your cooperation in adhering to a few important rules will help
maintain a relatively smooth tournament schedule. If you have not paid, please
pay the entry fee of $40 promptly so we don’t have to chase you down on Saurday.
Please be dressed, warmed up and ready to play your game at least 10 minutes
prior to your posted time. Each game is allotted 60 minutes. If games are not
started on time, they will be reduced in time to ensure the schedule is
maintained. A strict 10-minute default rule will be applied. With all of the
above we will keep games on time!

After you have played your match, please check the schedule to see when you play
next. If not sure when you play, please ask.


TOURNAMENT RULES
•        Be respectful to the referees and other players. There will be no tolerance for any abuse to the referees. They are doing us a HUGE favor by being here!
•        Games consist of two 20 minute run-time halves.
•        If the score is within 15 points, the last 2 minutes of the game will be stop-time.
•        30 second clock will be in effect
•        5 fouls per player
•        Overtime will be 5 minutes run-time with the last 30 seconds stop time.
•        5 minutes for warm up and for half-time, no exceptions
•        Team with most points wins!
•        All other rules that the officials deem necessary…

Saturday, June 27, 2009
•        9:00am – Registration opens
•        10:00am – Round 1 Games
•        11:00am – Round 1 Games
•        12:00pm – Alumni room begins serving cold beer, pop and pizza
•        1:00pm – Round 2 Games
•        2:00pm – Round 2 Games
•        3:00pm – Championship Round Games (4th/6th & 7th/8th)
•        4:00pm – Championship Round Games (3rd/5th & 1st/2nd)
•        5:00pm – Prize Draws/Wrap up
