Alumni Basketball Tournament

June 27^th 2009

ARE YOU GAME?

The Tournament is back this year for a “do-over” of the 25^th instalment and promises to be bigger and better than ever before!  You can look forward to a great day of competition from players spanning the decades, a BBQ staffed by hard working parent volunteers (yes, there will be beer!), a wrap up party with awards, prizes and a Calcutta Draw that usually gets out of hand!  If you’re not a player, who cares?  Come down and watch.  Everyone is welcome!

While you’re at the School, you will be able to check out the New Gym, High Performance Fitness Centre, the Holler Family Science Centre and the Kucher Family Centre for Performing Arts. Vancouver College is very grateful for the financial support of the VC Alumni in the completed construction of these facilities. As well, you will be able to see the construction on the new track and artificial field! VC needs your support in completing this first class track and field.

So dust off you basketball shoes, find that lucky pair of shorts and get your registrations in by June 12, 2009!

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

Format: Tournament Draw

When: Saturday, June 27, 2009

Where: VC Alumni & New Gymnasium

When: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Practice: Stay tuned for open gym sessions

Cost: $40 per person (includes T-shirt which you can keep as a memento of this great tournament, burger, beer, team photo and 3 games)

Please make cheques payable to “VC Alumni Basketball Tournament” or Visa/Mastercard accepted (see registration form for details)

-We have kept the price reasonable to encourage a great turnout for this FUN raising event! However, any funds left over from the tournament will be donated to help the VC Basketball Program, as in past years.

We are seeking Corporate sponsors and Calcutta prizes.  Please contact any of the tournament organizers, and any amount will be gratefully accepted.

REGISTRATION:

Please register ASAP, but no later than June 12, 2009 to make it easy on us to set the teams. We will do our best to set teams based on grad year or era.  To register, please fill in the registration form and submit via fax, mail or in person to the Main Office.  Contact information is included in Registration form.
