Hello Vancouver College Basketball Alumni
I regret to inform you that the 2008 Vancouver College Alumni Basketball Tournament scheduled to take place on the May 23-24 weekend has been cancelled.
Due to a low number of registered players, it has forced us to cancel the annual tournament, as there are not enough teams for a proper draw. I hope that next year will provide a better turnout and allow the tournament to continue as it has in the past. Thank you to those who did register early and pay, I will be mailing back your cheques to the return addresses.
I would also like to encourage all to register early for next year’s tournament as soon as registration is available. This registration is crucial for us to make the proper provisions needed for a successful tournament.

The Tournament features two days of great competition from players spanning the decades, a BBQ staffed by hard working parent volunteers, a Saturday night wrap up party with awards, prizes, and a Calcutta Draw that usually gets out of hand. And maybe a few more surprises. If you’re not a player, who cares? Come down and watch. Everyone is welcome!
While you are at the School, you will be able to check out the new gym, high performance fitness centre, science super lab. We are accepting donations on behalf of the Millennium Foundation.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
Format: Tournament Draw
Where: VC Gymnasium
When: Game times will be communicated once teams are set
Cost: $30 in advance, $40 on the day (includes a T-Shirt, burger, 1 beer, team photo,
and a minimum of 2 games). Cash, Cheque payable to VC Alumni Basketball.
